Crime novels thrill Aussie library goers!

Crime fiction is killing it with Aussie readers, making up almost one third of all library loans this year.

Paula Hawkins’ thriller The Girl On The Train claimed the title of most borrowed book, with three of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novels, two of Michael Connelly’s thrillers and Gillian Flynn’s 2012 hit Gone Girl also making the top 10, according to the 2016 Civica Libraries Index.

Avid readers also loved romance novels, most notably Australian author Graeme Simsion’s The Rosie Project and The Rosie Effect, which took out two of the top 10 spots.
